April 23, 1984 April 23, 1984 is a day that will live in infamy They didn't have proof and they still don't Any scientist with a new discovery must first
publish his findings They halted the search for the cause of AIDS
overnight4 April 23, 1984 is a day that will live in infamy The Department of Health and Human Services
is the agency They cut off your funding and turn down your
grant proposals On that same day Robert Gallo filed his patent
application for the test April 23, 1984 is a day that will live in infamy Ending Ad Libs: |

After the isolation of Vitamin B1 We are the mighty Microbe Hunters. The quarantine of patients imposed by federal
agents We are the mighty Microbe Hunters A drug called Clioquinol We are the lowly Microbe Hunters, |

it in time? It's k-k-k-k-k-k-killing you But you can't afford for them to be wrong But you think M.D. stands for Medical Deity You have no idea, so I'll tell you 'bout the It became a necessity "…not only coauthored…but…paid
for the licensing study of its own product." It never should have made it passed the advisory
committee They passed the vote - When you learn the truth that I teach you, That they've been badly wrong all of these years You must take this news and pass it on Who still think M.D. stands for Medical Deity |
T-cells T-cells1,
they are a poor indicator of health They found that many people with few T-cells
did just fine T-cells, they are a poor indicator of health They invented the technology to count T-cells
just in time T-cells don't indicate need for medication T-cell counts can't tell you 'bout the progression
of disease CD4 Lymphocytes9

Don't Get Tested! Well, you can change the result on your antibody
test I'm so positive that testing positive means
positively nothing to me The CDC, FDA, Red Cross, and CRSS, I'm so positive that testing positive means
positively nothing to me Antigens used in the test kits Please remember that antibodies are there for
your protection I'm so positive that testing positive means
positively nothing to me |

Mythical Times HIV won't kill ya AIDS is not a sexually transmitted disease Subacute Myelo-Optic Neuropathy Why can't the Americans be more like the Japanese We all are living in mythical times Peptide bonds were broken Bodies died when nucleocide analogs were introduced Condoms won't protect you from immunosuppression Tragically, ironically, the more funding supplied We've all been living in mythical times You don't have to be a retrovirologist Check out what Peter Duesberg has to say The drug epidemic was the real cause |
ENDNOTES April 23, 1984 1. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia at (404) 264-0671. Ask for the name of the original scientific paper published in a professional journal that demonstrates HIV is the cause of AIDS. An ad hoc public relations release like "The Evidence that HIV Causes AIDS," will not suffice. 2. Although there are thousands of published papers dealing with HIV/AIDS, not one of them proves that HIV causes AIDS. 3.The paper he published, which appeared in the May 4, 1984 issue of Science, proved that HIV did not cause AIDS, because only 36% (26 of 72) of the AIDS patients he studied, on whom he based his hypothesis, had tested positive for HIV. Had this paper been published prior to that press conference, the hypothesis would have been discredited, and the myth that HIV causes AIDS would not have been born. 4.Before Gallo's so-called "discovery," other ideas existed about the cause of AIDS. Microbe hunters were looking at other microbial candidates, while others examined noninfectious causes. 5. See pages 65-67 of Inventing the AIDS Virus, by Peter Duesberg for an explanation of the peer review system. 6. Hypothesis: an unproven assumption tentatively accepted to provide a basis for further investigation, argument, etc. 8. On December 30, 1992, Gallo was officially convicted of scientific misconduct. He later got off on appeal. Luc Montagnier, of the Pasteur Institute in France, had sent samples of his LAV (Lymphadenopathy-Associated Virus) to Gallo, who renamed it HTLV-III (Human T-cell Leukemia Virus, and later Human T-cell Lymphotropic Virus) and announced it to be the cause of AIDS. Following a political compromise in which the United States and France agreed to be the co-discoverers of the "virus," the name was changed to HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus). Immune 1. The CDC Surveillance Definition. 2. Infectious disease caused by Histoplasma capsulatum, usually acquired by inhalation of spores of that fungus. 3. Disease caused by the protozoan parasite, Toxoplasma gondii, leading to dementia. 4. See Appendix C of Inventing the AIDS Virus, by Peter Duesberg. 5. Idiopathic: disease of unknown origin; Lymphocytopenia: reduction of white blood cells in the circulating blood. 6. Chronic infection by Cryptococcus neoformans, causing various mycoses (diseases caused by a fungus). Microbe Hunters 1. iatrogenic: disease caused
by the medicine. Iatros is Greek for Please consult chapters 1 and 2 of Inventing the AIDS Virus, by Peter Duesberg, for further study. Poppers a) The microbe must be found in all cases of the disease. b) The microbe must be isolated from the host and grown in pure culture. c) When introduced into a susceptible host, the microbe must reproduce the original disease. AZT For more on the story of the AZT cover-up,
please consult John Lauritsen's Poison
by Prescription: The AZT Story. T-cells 1. Also known as CD4 Lymphocytes, T-helper cells, etc. 2. Findings were announced at the Ninth International AIDS Conference, June 1993, in Berlin, and were published as "Concorde: MRC/ANRS randomised double-blind controlled trial of immediate and deferred zidovudine in symptom-free HIV infection", in The Lancet, Vol. 343, April 9, 1994, pp.871-881. 3. Findings were published as "HIV positive patients first presenting with an AIDS defining illness: characteristics and survival", in the British Medical Journal, Vol. 311, June 15, 1995, pp. 156-158. 4. These studies also examined how AZT recipients fared compared to those in the control group, who were not given the drug. The results showed that AZT recipients died quicker than those not given the drug. 5. The subgroup of less than 3% of the male homosexual population, whose lifestyle (primarily drug abuse) brought on their immune suppressed states and the first phase of what has become known as the "AIDS epidemic." 7. His press conference on April 23, 1984, at which the "probable cause of AIDS" was declared to have been found, which preceded scientific verification. 8.A major part of your immune system. 9. Lymphocyte: a type of white blood cell; CD4 lymphocytes are synonymous with T-cells. 10. For example, the chronic psycho-cortico physiological redistribution of T-cells. In other words, stress causes fluctuations in your T-cell count. Note that having a CD4 count can be stressful to someone who believes that this surrogate marker is important, which it is not. Don't Get Tested! For more details, consult the article by Christine Johnson, "Playing Russian Roulette in the Lab: Can you Really Trust the AIDS Test?" from the HEAL Comprehensive Information Packet, which was also reprinted in the October, 1994 issue (#218) of Christopher Street, under the title "Understanding the HIV antibody test." Also look at Valendar Turner's chart, reprinted from the Nov/Dec 1995 issue, Vol. 3, No.4 of Continuum, the list of factors known to cause false-positive HIV antibody test results, and from Bio/Technology's June 11, 1993 issue: "Is a Positive Western Blot Proof of HIV Infection?", by Eleni Papadopulos-Eleopulos et. al.-- the landmark article that should have put a stop to all HIV testing.
